New Metro Line With 8 Stations Approved. No Need to Change From Delhi To greater Noida West.

Noida is set to witness a significant boost in its transportation facilities with the approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the new metro line stretching from Sector 142 to Botanical Garden in Sector-38A. This decision, taken in a recent board meeting of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), marks a new direction in the development of public transport in the region.

Metro Line Expansion Details

1. Route and Stations: The new metro line will feature a total of eight elevated stations. This addition is expected to enhance connectivity between various parts of Noida, making travel more efficient for residents and visitors.
2. Cost and Length: The projected cost of this undertaking is ₹2254.35 crores, and it spans a total length of 11.56 kilometers.
3. Beneficiary Areas: In its first phase, the metro line is expected to benefit approximately 80,000 people, especially residents of sectors 44, 45, 97, 99, 100, 104, 105, 108, and 93.
4. Next Steps: The DPR will now be presented in the board meeting of the Noida Authority and subsequently sent to the government for final approval.

Board Meeting and Leadership

The pivotal board meeting was chaired by Jaydeep, the Acting Director General of IUT and OSD (UT) and ex-officio Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. The meeting focused on various aspects of the project and provided necessary guidelines to ensure its successful implementation.
